Did you upgrade from an iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, or iPhone 8 to an iPhone 12 Pro recently? Welcome to the world of Face ID on the iPhone’s gesture-based navigation system. You won’t notice the absence of the home button on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max unless you try taking a screenshot. Trying to take a screenshot on the iPhone 12 Pro differs from previous iPhones because it lacks a home button.
However, if you’ve ever used an iPhone X, iPhone XS, or even an iPhone XR, you’ll be familiar with the process. Apple uses a separate physical button configuration to take screenshots on the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max because they lack a home button.
