The last thing in my thoughts when purchasing a sick gaming machine is a gaming chair. Who cares what you sit on when you’re playing Call of Duty? That’s why I always go for a dirt cheap gaming chair (to save for my next RAM upgrade)!

I’ve been called a n00b for as long as I can remember, and 12-year-old players told me stuff about my mother that I had no idea about. Is my father even mine? According to those guys, there’s a slim likelihood.

But no one has yet ridiculed my inexpensive gaming chair, which costs less than $100. Even if you have the nicest gaming chair in the world, it appears that people don’t seem to care.

People would rather ask which graphics card I’m using and how much RAM I have in the garbage if I were sitting on the Iron Throne of Westeros. So, in summary:

That’s why I’ve decided to acquire the cheapest gaming chair (that’s at least fairly priced – the Top 5 money-saving gaming chairs are listed below) for my PC. Why?

I could purchase a $1000 gaming chair with a racing bucket and ergonomic pillows and everything else. But you know what? For the same price, I would much rather improve my computer settings with a Geforce GTX 11GB Waterforce graphics card.

That’s why we’ve decided to make a Top 5 list (as is Top5er’s custom) of affordable gaming seats.

Top 3 Best Cheap Gaming Chair Reviews (Under $100)

The price is the common denominator here. Every gaming chair for PC is less than $100, but the majority of them are between $50 and $100. Why?

For less than $50 you can get a squat.  In a literal sense. Squatting would be easier than sitting in one of those.

Here’s a quick review of the best cheap gaming seats for playing computer games (as well as console and other stuff):

1. Best Office Black And White Review – Best-Overall Cheap Gaming Chair Under $70

The BestOffice chair is the best among the cheapest gaming chairs on the market. It literally has everything that more expensive chairs can offer, such as:

  • Double back support (high-back and lumbar support)
  • Armrests can be adjusted.
  • Design that is sturdy and long-lasting.
  • Easy installation.
  • Above all, comfort!

The BestOffice chair for gaming is the highest rated and best overall cheap gaming chair. It even resembles Captain Kirk’s chair from Enterprise:

With this gaming chair, you can’t go wrong. We’ll go into more detail about the gaming chair’s features, but the three most important things to remember are:

  • It looks great.
  • Is under $100 (even under $70!).
  • Will allow you to purchase a new processor, RAM, or graphics card.

Okay, one more detail — with any chair, gaming or otherwise, we’re talking about ergonomics. People generally sit on chairs for long periods of time.

Do you know how long a single Civilization V game lasts? Yeah, I’d be as worried about my back as I would about Attila or Shaka backstabbing me.

Chair ergonomics is just as important in gaming chairs as it is in office chairs (if you enjoy office chairs (and a touch of leather), check out the Best Leather Office Chair reviews).

What is the distinction? Because they sit for 8 hours a day, office workers are particularly concerned about their backs. Guess what, I’ve been known to play games for more than 8 hours, and for the time being, I’m not concerned about my posture or back…

There will come a time when I want to throw a LAN party in a retirement home.  And I know that gaming on one of the ergonomic gaming chairs will help my spine perform better.

To cut to the chase, BestOffice’s low-cost gaming chair offers an extremely well-developed ergonomic profile.  Office workers desire high-back support and bucket seat styles, and the Racing Car chair has both.

If you’re spending $30,000 or more on student loans, you’re more than glad to get a good gaming station, and adding an extra pricey chair with it seems unnecessary. Who knows what your gaming chair will become? It’s college, and things get puked on all the time.

It’s also nice to have a cheap gaming chair that’s also easy to install and suitable for guys over 6 feet tall (I’m sure all those tall guys play ‘dwarfs’ in World of Warcraft).

Here are the advantages and disadvantages of purchasing this low-cost gaming chair:

ProsCons
Best Overall Gaming ChairThere are no racing pedals in racing games.
Much less expensive than a decent graphics cardNo genuine leather (but hey, is less than 100 bucks)
It looks like Kirk’s chair from Enterprise. You’ll stick with it if you work hard enough.
High-back and bucket-style seats provide excellent ergonomic support. Can take a stain (perhaps important for college guys?)
Best price performance
Made from high-quality, long-lasting materials
Easy to assemble
Even suitable for tall people (‘The Mountain adores this chair’).

2. Homall Swivel Gaming Chair Review – Best Overall Budget (Close to $50)

The Homall chair has the issue of not knowing whether it is a gaming chair or an office chair.

However, one thing is certain about this chair:

If you’re looking for the best budget gaming chair, you’ve come to the right place. Nonetheless, you should know that producing such low-cost gaming chairs does involve some cutting-corners.

The Homall is a nice chair in general, but it’s made of low-quality materials (it’s not genuine leather, in case you’re wondering). The cushioning and back support are also fairly basic.

This is a prime example of a chair for a guy who doesn’t care about the appearance of his or her (we have female gamers as well) gaming chair.

Think closed curtains and pizza boxes in the corner – it feels like home. Nobody will question your chair’s aesthetics because, to be honest, it isn’t the most beautiful gaming chair on the market:

The Homall chair, like Brienne, has some positive qualities. It won’t help you find and defend Sansa Stark, but it will keep an eye on you while you’re gaming.

The Homall gaming chair rolls quite nicely around the office for its low price. That comes in handy when rage quitting. You don’t want to be stuck behind the computer desk when a camper arrives! Your ass is quickly scoped.

It even has 360-degree swivel wheels, so you can roll to the fridge and back if you want (and unable to stand up).

The price and appearance are fine, but as Mr. Heem points out, this is not the best cheap chair for a guy over 6 feet tall.

If you’re not like The Mountain and need cheap gaming chairs for a short period of time, the Homall is the best option.

ProsCons
Best Low-Cost Chair (nearly $50)Lower-quality materials (needless to say, faux leather) are unsightly.
Nice and functional wheelsNo real leather (but hey, is less than 100 bucks)
Some back support and cushioningTall people should not wear this (over 6 feet)
Easy to assemble
Ideal for college students on a tight budget.

3. Bran Stark Gaming Chair – Best Cheap Chair For Sleeping

In The white gaming chair from BestOffice is ideal for gaming, but it can also be used to relax.

Because it’s difficult to come up with a unique name for all of these low-cost gaming chairs, we’ll call this one the ‘Racing car style gaming chair.’

Yes, it’s called a racing game, but it’s not limited to Need For Speed: Most Wanted. No way! Almost any gaming chair, particularly the less expensive ones, can be used to play any game (you get the racing pedals and other nonsense with the expensive gaming chairs anyway).

However, let’s call it ‘Littlefinger.’ Because it is comfortable to lie in. Get it? This is the Iron Throne to choose if you want to lie like Littlefinger.

You can do hardcore gaming in addition to napping it in.

The racing chair is inexpensive, but it is not built cheaply. The cushioning is especially well-designed and long-lasting. This is a chair that you buy once and don’t have to think about getting another for the next 5 years.

Above all, the racing gaming chair was created for stability. You can have it at a 90-degree angle (unholding pose like Ned Stark), a 180-degree angle (lying position or ‘The Littlefinger), or anywhere in between.

Because there is some movement when things don’t go your way in Call of Duty or GTA, the chair, despite being cheap, has to take care of all the movements. And, despite being between 90 and 180 degrees, it passes the stability test.

The key word here is “durable.” Because of the high quality, this cheap gaming chair will last for years. This is obviously fantastic because computer components are rapidly evolving, and if you’re a serious gamer, you’ll need to buy new equipment every year.

It’s great that ergonomic chair technology doesn’t change all that quickly. If you get one like the ‘Littlefinger,’ you can be confident that you will be able to use it without issue in 5 years. Consider using a 5-year-old graphics card; lag would kill you.

Adjustable by 4 inches up and downThe chair was difficult to install.

There are several colours to select from. Some reviewers mention a strange odour.
Excellent value for money.
Ideal for those who enjoy cool affordable gaming seats.

Why are $100 gaming chairs so cheap?

A gaming chair that costs $100 will have the same effect on my Call of Duty lag as a $1,000 gaming chair. There are none!

How much should you pay on a gaming chair if you want a low-cost model?

I’ve opted not to spend $1,000 on a gaming chair. Even $500 is a lot of money for something I only use to sit on while playing video games. $200 seemed reasonable, but hey, if I’m going to buy a cheap gaming chair, I’m not going to pay more than $100.

A friend once paid $100 for a GeForce GTX 1060 3GB graphics card (the one with dual fans) on Craigslist. I haggled it down from $150. So I settled on $100 as the bottom line.

If a cheap gaming chair costs more than a 3GB GTC card, it is not one of the cheap gaming chairs and should not be purchased.

I like my computer to purr, but I don’t give a damn about my ass. I only care about handling the asses of those 12-year-olds who talk sh*t about my mother (oh, that sounded weird, I meant in a game, you know, flash those campers and show them what’s what).

Any other suggestions for cheap gaming chairs?
